About Whippr

Whippr is a booking platform that connects learner drivers with independent driving instructors. Lessons are delivered by the instructor, not by Whippr. Instructors are self-employed and responsible for their own teaching, vehicle and DVSA registration.

Bookings & payments

• Lessons are booked and paid for through the platform using Stripe.
• Whippr charges a flat 10% booking commission to instructors. Learners pay the displayed lesson price — there is no booking fee on top.
• Each instructor sets their own minimum lesson length and hourly rate.

Cancellations

Learners may cancel an upcoming lesson via the My Lessons page. Refunds for late cancellations are at the instructor's discretion in line with their policy. We're working on a built-in cancellation policy tool — until then, please confirm your instructor's policy at the time of booking.

Instructor approval

All instructors are reviewed manually by Whippr. ADIs (Approved Driving Instructors) and PDIs (trainee instructors on a pink badge) are clearly labelled across the platform. We rely on instructors providing accurate licence information; if you spot something incorrect, please email support@whippr.com.

Liability

Whippr provides the booking software. The driving lesson itself is a contract between the learner and the instructor. Instructors are required to hold appropriate insurance for their tuition vehicle.
